Happy Monday and welcome to the new look of The Hemliner! I realize this post is long overdue and I owe you all an update. Let’s just say the last couple of months have been a whirlwind, hence why I had to take a break from the blog. Long story short, I was directly impacted by Harvey and my family and I pretty much lost everything. It was absolutely devastating and terrifying; something I never in a million years could imagine happening. However, we are on the mend. I’m so thankful to God and to all of my friends and co-workers who have been such a strong support system – from the bottom of my heart, thank you guys. I’m so very grateful for each and every one of you. I have felt so loved during such a challenging time.
Since Harvey, I’ve had to pretty much buy everything and so with that, I decided to update the look of the blog as part of a fresh new start. I hope you all like the new look and find it easier to navigate around. Leave a comment below and let me know your feedback on the design.
Now, let’s talk about today’s look. I actually shot this look back in August and thank God I was able to save this floral midi dress after the flood. I love that it’s classic, romantic and features so many of the current trends. You guys know I’m kinda obsessed with the cold shoulder and the length of the dress is perfect and oh, so lady like. I’ve been a huge fan of Club Monaco for some time now and adore how so many of their pieces are such classic staple items (as you can see from this post). This floral midi dress will definitely be on repeat for cocktail receptions, fall weddings, date night, and other special occasions to come.
