Happy Monday! I hope you all had a lovely weekend. I got to see one of my dearest friends from college for brunch on Saturday and it was such a good time and great conversation. The rest of the weekend was spent relaxing and trying to stay out of the heat. The temperature has been in the 90’s and this week it will officially be fall, which makes it hard to transition your wardrobe if you’re in Houston.
Recently, I was on the hunt for a denim skirt and came across this cute one from Madewell. This denim zipper skirt is so flattering with the A-line silhouette and the zipper allows a full zip from the top or bottom. There is a soft stretch in the denim, so it is extremely comfortable. I like that it is a departure from your typical denim skirt that buttons up and it has two front patch pockets. It’s a great wardrobe staple for fall and I’ve come to find that Madewell makes some of the best basic, casual pieces.
I paired this denim zipper skirt with a sleeveless mock turtleneck and a pair of open toe booties by Coach. There is something about a turtleneck that is so chic in the cooler months. The army green color goes so well with denim and is the perfect color to transition into fall.
