Mock Turtleneck Dress | The Hemliner

Hello from Chicago! I’m in the windy city this week for work and training at Google’s office. It’s my first time visiting the city, so please leave any recommendations in the comment section below. I have already received some great restaurant and rooftop recommendations, but the more the merrier.

Now, onto the dress featured in this post. A little fact about me is that my absolute favorite color to wear is black. If I could, I would probably wear it everyday. Black is not only classic and figure flattering, but it is so chic and goes with everything!

Madewell makes the perfect black mock turtleneck dress. The fabric of this LBD is extremely thick and will keep you warm all season. The midi length on the dress makes it perfect for fall and great to wear with booties. I love the mock turtleneck of the dress, since it also makes it ideal for transitioning into the season. It was the perfect dress to take on this trip, since the temperature is cooler here. I threw a cape on at night when the temperatures dropped a little, which made this mock turtleneck dress so easy to layer with.
