One of my favorite go-to looks is the classic black on black outfit. It’s easy, chic, and such a good signature look that you can never go wrong with. I think it’s such a great staple for winter. This year on the blog, I want to showcase some wardrobe pieces that I may have worn in the past and bring a new look to them, making them more attainable. After restarting over with my wardrobe post-Harvey, my focus is quality versus quantity and investing in classic items that I can mix several different ways.
You may recognize this black pleated faux leather mini skirt from this post last year, but you guys J. Crew brought it back again and it’s still in stock! This skirt is such a great investment piece and worth every penny (trust me). I paired this skirt with a black turtleneck, which everyone should have in their closet, for a chic black on black look for winter. This look can be worn on so many different occasions, from the office to drinks and dinner – the list goes on.
To complete this black on black look, I wore it with my favorite over-the-knee boots. Another shoe that would look great with this outfit is a simple ballet flat for a more casual daytime look or if you are looking to be a bit dressy, a leopard kitten heel would look great as well.
