Blush Scallop Skirt

New York will always have a special place in my heart. A little fact about me is that I lived in the City my last semester in college and enjoyed each and every minute of it. To be honest, I never wanted to leave. I had the opportunity to intern with the legendary Diane von Furstenberg and it’s an experience I will never forget. I love the energy the city holds. It’s non-stop hustle and bustle. The food, the culture, art, and being able to walk everywhere is absolutely priceless.

When Create and Cultivate announced their conference there this year, I knew I couldn’t miss the chance to go. I was able to meet some of the sweetest and most inspiring people. While I was there, I got the opportunity to explore some of my old stomping grounds and my favorite neighborhood, Soho. It has the best shopping and entertainment in the City, there’s nothing quite like it. It’s simply so chic that I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to shoot this look there.

While I was in New York, I stopped by Club Monaco and picked this outfit on a whim. Club Monaco is my go-to store for beautiful and classic wardrobe pieces. I love pretty pastels in the summer and this blush scallop skirt caught my attention, so I had to get it. It’s flirty and feminine with a pretty scallop hem. The self-tie belt adds the perfect amount of detail with a little bit of drama. It definitely makes a statement without being over the top.

I paired this blush scallop skirt with an off the shoulder silk blouse with the perfect amount of ruffles. It’s lightweight and perfect for summer nights. I’ve worn this silk top not only with this skirt, but also with light denim skinny jeans. It’s so versatile and has a romantic flare to it. With the ruffles, it drapes so beautifully. When you pair this outfit with neutral accessories, you have the perfect feminine outfit for summer.
