Classic White Popover

Classic White Popover

Happy Wednesday! We have made it halfway through the week so I wanted to share an everyday look with you. One staple item you should have in your closet is a classic white popover. It’s a basic wardrobe shirt that’s essential and can be elevated with different pairings or accessories. Through the years, I’ve really tried to put a focus on basic items that are quality pieces that I can mix or match to achieve different looks that are still polished.

Since my office has a casual dress code, if I’m not in client meetings, one thing you can find me in is this classic white popover. I tend to gravitate towards some type of skinny pant or jeans that’s polished and makes you feel put together in a professional manner. It’s a look that you can also wear on the weekend with jeans or cut off denim shorts. I’m telling you, this shirt really works for a variety of outfits.

For wardrobe basics, I can always count on Club Monaco, Madewell, and J. Crew for staples. They always carry great elevated basics to build your wardrobe. I can’t say it enough, this popover is really a classic. It also works with skinny dress pants if you have a meeting for work and in the fall, you can throw on a cardigan that’s neutral or one that has a pop of color.

One thing about having a classic white popover is that you can accessorize it in so many ways. Since it’s summer, I paired this shirt with my current favorite white heels that have been so versatile and may I say, comfortable! These shoes go with so many looks in my closet, including this one. I added this clutch for a pop of color to complete this summer look.

What’s one wardrobe staple that you can’t live without? Leave a comment below and share! Xx
