This past weekend, I attended Lakewood’s Love Your Life Women’s conference here in Houston. Every year pastors Joel and Victoria Osteen host this free event and have incredible speakers come and visit.
The closing speaker this year happened to be Jaime Kern Lima of IT Cosmetics. She founded this cosmetics company along with her husband and developed the products with world-renowned plastic surgeons and dermatologists. She was so sweet and generous to give everyone a gift bag with several samples.
Jamie spoke about her past struggles with her skin, as she suffers from rosacea. She grew up doing pageants and later became a news reporter, where she always felt the pressure to wear a ton of makeup to cover up the redness on her cheeks. Not only did she suffer from rosacea, but she started to lose her eyebrow hair. While on her honeymoon, her and her husband came up with the idea for IT Cosmetics, which stands for Innovative Technology.
She spoke about her struggle to get the company up and running and even doubted God at times, with companies constantly telling her no when she would approach them to carry the line. One day she received a huge blessing and finally got her break with QVC. Several years later, IT Cosmetics is now carried in stores like ULTA, Sephora and QVC.
I say all of this to share the beauty products that I was able to try from this incredible line, which are game changing. As someone who previously suffered from acne in my adolescent and adult years, thanks to Accutane, my skin is finally under control, but I have scars from where my blemishes kept occurring.
I have worn Laura Mercier cosmetics for years and still love the line, but I’m always open to trying new cosmetic brands. My one must have beauty item is mascara. I think it’s best to always highlight your best assets and for me it’s my eyes, so mascara is important. I’ve worn everything from Maybelline, Benefit’s “They’re Real” and my favorite, Dior’s “Diorshow Black Out”. People always think I’m wearing fake lashes, but they are my natural lashes. Well, let me tell you, I will officially be replacing my mascara with IT’s “Superhero” mascara. The name says it all. It is hands down the best mascara I have ever worn. I have been wearing it since this weekend and my lashes look longer than ever and I have zero clumps. Game changing for sure.
The foundation I tried from IT also gives full coverage without feeling heavy on your skin. Besides the mascara, the other product I absolutely loved was the brow power pencil. The pencil is smudge proof, so it doesn’t rub off easily and lasts all day.
Overall, I have loved everything that I have tried from the line. I will definitely be using their brow power pencil and mascara from here on out.

Thanks for sharing Roberta! I actually got suckered into a QVC infomercial and ordered a ton of product from them. I have to agree with you- game changing! I was stoked when I learned they were available in brick-and-mortar stores like Ulta. I’m a fan for sure!!
